Autonaut Unmanned Vessel

We recovered an Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) off the coast of Blacksod for maintenance works.

The vessel, owned by AutoNaut had been at sea for over 60 days and had traveled all the way from Oban in Scotland!

The vessel is propelled by the motion of the waves and its position and status was monitored remotely.

Renewable energy allows this vessel to complete tasks such as surveys at sea over many weeks.

After the maintenance works were complete we re-deployed the vessel which was bound for Wales.
