The Belmullet Boat Charters team strive towards the protection and preservation of the Belmullet Peninsula in particular Blacksod Bay & The Inishkea Islands. We are working towards putting regenerative practices in place as a long term strategy to ensure we preserve our home for following generations.
Annual Beach Clean Ups Inishkea Island
In February 2022, Belmullet Boat Charters established the Inishkea Island Clean Coasts Group and have organised an annual beach clean up on the islands every year since. Contact us if you would like to volunteer and get involved this year.
Respect for Marine Life
Our boat tours adhere to strict guidelines designed to minimize any disturbance to marine species, including seals, dolphins, whales, and seabirds.
We prioritise maintaining a respectful distance to marine species and ensuring all our interactions with them are non-invasive, allowing marine wildlife to thrive undisturbed in their natural habitat.
Observing these incredible creatures in the wild is a privilege, and we aim to preserve that privilege.
"Leave No Trace" Course
We are proud to have completed the “Leave No Trace” introductory course.
This training equips our team with the knowledge and skills to minimise our impact on the pristine landscapes and waters we cross.

Eco-Friendly Operations
We actively reduce our environmental footprint by employing fuel-efficient vessels and adhering to best practices for minimising waste and emissions.
Recycling and proper disposal of onboard waste are integral parts of our day-to-day maintenance works.
